Yesterday- In More Detail

I just tried to hit the highlights yesterday. I was tired and wanted to spend time with family. Here is yesterday in a bit more detail.

Keith's counts looked good. The doctor said that he can start getting the bloodwork done once a week instead of three times a week. That will be nice.

Last time the nurse had a hard time getting Keith's iv in. The nurse mentioned that they might have to put in a port if they had trouble again. Yesterday the nurse got the iv in on the first try, so that is a blessing.

We ended up getting a pretty good deal yesterday. In the infusion area there are little "cubicle like areas." There is a reclining chair for the patient and a normal chair for the person with the patient in each cubicle. The accomodations never really bothered us last time because his infusion only took 30 minutes. Now it takes about 3 hours, so the little chair isn't so inviting. I mentioned that I needed to pump while we were there, so they put us in a bedroom. Keith got a bed and I got a leather recliner. We also had a private bathroom. It was nice!

That is all that I can think to write. Keith is doing okay this morning. He is up and walking around, which is more than I expected. He did have trouble sleeping last night. He slept a lot yesterday during the afternoon, so I'm not surprised about that. Please continue to pray that the side effects will be minimal, and that Keith can return to "normal-by normal I mean at least feeling decent" soon.
