Could life get much better?

This morning after we ate breakfast, Lincoln and I hopped into the car and made a Starbucks run (thanks to a gift card from one of my students). Once we were home, I turned on some cartoons for Lincoln, and I settled down with my coffee and two new magazines. I thought to myself, "Could life get any better than this?" At that very moment, my little man, who is usually so transfixed with the tv that he doesn't even know I'm in the room, crawled up in my chair to cuddle with me.

Christmas break is officially over. I don't really think weekends count. Plus I did some school work tonight. As far as I'm concerned, when you pull out the school work, the break is over. : ) I admit that I'm a bit sad to see this time end, but so goes life. Come Tuesday morning, I will be face to face with my fifteen friends who will have countless stories to tell. Maybe I should use the other half of the gift card Tuesday morning to prepare myself for the onslaught. : )

Girl, I so know that feeling of having to return after the Holidays. We had to go back last Thursday. That's why I'm taking a personal day Monday and Jake is taking a personal day with me and we are going shopping!

I love it when you refer to your students as "friends". What a good teacher you are!
Have a great second half!
Love,
Martha

You probably already have your tree down and everything! It makes me tired just to think of it.
