I feel like I need to introduce myself.

My name is Stephanie, and this is my blog.

It's been forever since I posted. Life has been busy, and the longer I stayed away, the more overwhelmed I became at the thought of catching up.

It seems a bit ridiculous to go all the way back to Halloween, but the blog serves as a scrapbook for our family. I'm afraid it is all that my poor child will have to look back on. So, here it goes.

When we went to look for a costume this year, I was envisioning him dressed as a precious, little pirate. Lincoln wanted NOTHING to do with the pirate costume. (I even tried to bribe him by telling him that he could have a super, cool sword.) He was insistent upon being Star Wars character. I have no idea how this obsession began, but Lincoln loves Star Wars.

I will admit that I struggled a bit (or maybe more than that) with letting him choose his costume. I realized that it had less to do with the costume and more to do with the fact that he is growing up. So, mom gave in, and a little boy left the costume store with a HUGE smile on his face.

We turned the back of our car into a mad science lab for our church's "trunk or treat." Lincoln thought that was pretty cool.
