Lincoln and I spent our last day of summer together on Wednesday. We visited dad at work, ate some yummy Mexican food, and went shopping. Lincoln really needed some new shoes. Ever since we got back from Tennessee I haven't been able to find two pairs of his shoes, which meant we were stuck with only one pair of sandals. He is now the proud owner of two new pairs of shoes, and I finally located the missing shoes too. : )
I have spent the past two days in inservice. The good thing about all the training sessions I've had to attend the past few weeks is that I've gotten to know my teammates. I have been blessed with a great group of girls to work with!
The one thing that I'm dreading is letting the teachers at my school know about Keith. I imagine that my principal will have the new teachers introduce themselves when everyone reports back on Monday for inservice. I'm considering just mentioning it then. It's one of those things that comes up in conversations when you're meeting new people. I mention Lincoln, and they ask about my husband or if I'm married. Then I have to tell them that Keith is dead, and there is this awkward silence. The news usually catches people offguard, and I'm left trying to assure them that I'm okay with talking about it. The whole process is no fun.

Praying for a great school year for you and Lincoln! -Jen
My suggestion . . . point your colleagues to this blog; they will grow to love you through it and it will surely point them to God and bring glory to Him.
We miss you at CF.
