ROTTEN
If I had one word to describe my child the past few weeks, it would be rotten. Apparently we are in the midst of a defiant phase. I'm not sure where my sweet, well mannered child went, but I really hoping that he will return soon. This little boy is wearing me out!
While I'm writing about this little stinker, I might as well write a few things that I want to remember.
Lately, I hear things like:
"It's a sunny day."-I think I heard this every morning this summer regardless of the fact that the sun wasn't even up yet.
"Yes means no."
"I'm TOO tired to sleep."
"I don't want to waste water."-I have no idea where this came from, but he vigilantly monitors our water usage.
"That's a good question."
Lincoln's favorite word these days is "cool." He loves to rhyme and tell knock, knock jokes. (For some reason he says "ding, dong" instead of "knock, knock.")
I'll end with a funny conversation that we had during dinner the other night.
Lincoln: This is a good day.
Mom: Why was it a good day? (I was thinking that he would mention getting to go play in the play area at the mall or getting to eat at Chick-fil-A.)
Lincoln: Because I love you.
Mom: That must mean that everyday is a good day. Don't you love me everyday?
Lincoln:(silence)

I love it! My favorite is "yes means no." What a character!
Kids say the cutest things and it's good you are writing it down :) He'll love hearing all the "when you were little" stories when he is older.

Good luck on that defiance thing!
He's a funny boy...just like his momma.
What a funny guy! I especially loved the last one.
